Today I’m just thinking about how close Felipe Massa and Daniel are and how Felipe was a mentor to Daniel and how they were neighbours for years and how now Felipe is leaving Monaco to live in Brazil and how his only acknowledgement of the move is assuring Daniel he’ll be waiting for him in Brazil
And how Daniel spent so much time with Felipe and his family:
And how during the heartbreak of the 2018 season in Japan (after Daniel’s engine gave out AGAIN in quali and he blew his vocal chords on camera) he saw Felipe on race day when he was about to jump in the car and he just:
And how Felipe brought his son along to the driver’s parade in 2014 and Daniel also just:
And how everytime interviewers asked Daniel if there were any nice drivers on the grid he would always immediately answer “Felipe” and how Daniel is just part of the family
